Carolyn earned a Certificate in Family Mediation through York University and is a family mediator, accredited through the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM). Carolyn acts as a mediator to guide people to create solutions unique to their own families. She also offers arbitration services for people who want to have a private decision-maker resolve their issues and keep their matters out of the Court system. Carolyn is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst with the Institute of Divorce Financial Analysts. She appreciates that financial issues in a family matter can be complex, and she leverages the expertise of financial planners, actuaries, tax professionals and other financial professionals, to assist her clients in making well informed decisions to protect their financial well-being.
Carolyn is dedicated to helping families resolve their disputes in a peaceful and efficient manner. She has a deep understanding of the emotional toll that family law disputes can have on individuals, especially when children are involved. Her compassionate approach to family law has helped her to build a reputation as a trusted and respected lawyer and mediator in her community. She is a skilled negotiator and litigator and has successfully resolved many complex family law cases.
Carolyn believes in educating her clients about the legal process and their rights and obligations so they can make informed decisions about their future. She loves working with diverse clients and helping them navigate through a complicated court system or negotiating an agreement that meets their family’s needs. You can count on Carolyn to guide you through your matter with knowledge, experience and care.
Carolyn loves international food and travel (maybe she’ll be a travel planner when she retires), hot yoga (she’s a certified yoga instructor!) and CrossFit. She works from the Toronto office.
